Quyen Tran
Quyen Tran is the director of impact investing for BlackRock and head of Fundamental Equities Sustainable Investment Research. Her research creates BlackRock's structural framework for advancing impact investing, including BlackRock's minimum criteria for impact investing across asset classes, the case for impact in public equities, and the case for alpha generation. She leads the creation of BlackRock's Global Impact Annual Report and develops impact measurement and management best practices. Tran partners with academia and industry practitioners to develop thought leadership in the impact ecosystem. She is a member of Harvard Business School's Alumni for Impact Initiative, serves on working groups at the Global Impact Investing Network, and is a board advisor for Bentley University's Sustainable Investment Group. Previously, Tran worked as the sustainable investment strategist for Wellington Management. At Cambridge Associates, she advised endowments and foundations on asset allocation strategy and investment manager selection, and she headed the training program for analysts globally. At Fidelity Investments, Tran was a director of investment analytics covering global equities. Tran earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and her BA, cum laude, in philosophy from Mount Holyoke College, where she was awarded the JW Warbeke Prize, a top recognition for academic studies in philosophy. She studied abroad at the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies in Sarnath, India. On a volunteer basis, she taught English as a classroom teacher in Vietnam and worked for the advancement of grade-school children in the US.
