The Risk and Reward of the Employer’s Role in Health (Invite only)

Monday, May 1, 2023
08:30 AM - 09:30 AM PDT
Beverly Hilton - Brighton

The role of the employer has been in a steady state of metamorphosis. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Business Roundtable changed the definition of the role of a corporation to include investments in their employees and the communities where they operate. The pandemic accelerated the transformation of the workplace and elevated the opportunity for employers to play a critical role in public health, take a stand for specific action, and find a voice in issues that were normally considered “outside their lane". This included critical issues like promoting the mental health and wellbeing of employees. This redesign also illustrated the importance of a “whole person" approach, coupled with empathetic leadership, to influence productivity, enhance engagement, and effectively address the needs of five generations in the workforce.

So, what’s next? Could further investments in mental health mitigate costly risk and pave the way for a more engaged and productive workforce? How do we safeguard the lessons learned about the importance of mental health during the pandemic?

The invite only discussion will focus on the learning and forecasting of what is needed and what will happen to optimize health for employees and organizations. We are experiencing a transformation of where and how people work together. Fostering a more productive, resilient and healthier workforce is not only the right thing to do, it ultimately makes business sense.
