While maintaining long-term peace, security, and rules-based cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region remains the key thrust for members of Quad and its efforts in the region, the group has been expanding its purview to include international cooperation on common standards and governance for emerging, advanced technologiescooperation that places individual privacy, respect, and trust at the core. How might such frameworks affect international relations in Asia-Pacific? Will countries in Asia support such efforts, or will neutrality or non-alignment be the path forward? What is the outlook for geopolitical relations in the Asia-Pacific region, especially among the large economies?
