Patrick Cao is the President of GoTo, the largest technology group in Indonesia and the “go to” ecosystem for digital daily life. He is responsible for overseeing the finance, corporate development, investor relations and investment activities of GoTo. GoTo brings together the strengths of two Indonesian champions - Gojek, Southeast Asia’s leading mobile on demand services and payments platform, and Tokopedia, Indonesia’s leading e commerce marketplace. The group combines e-commerce, on-demand and financial services under one roof, creating a globally unique ecosystem. Previously the President of Tokopedia since 2016, Patrick was responsible for the CFO Office, Financial Technology businesses and global partnerships. Before joining Tokopedia, Patrick was a Principal at Formation 8. In this role, he focused on diversified technology investments in Asia. Prior to Formation 8, Patrick was an Executive Director at UBS Investment Bank, specializing in M&A and capital markets advisory in the consumer and industrials sectors. Patrick received a B.S. in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. He is currently studying for his MBA at Tsinghua University.
