Michael Gronager is CEO and co-founder of Chainalysis Inc., the world’s leading source of intelligence on digital assets. Prior to founding Chainalysis Michael was the COO and co-founder of Kraken, one of the unicorns in the Bitcoin space and one of the worlds biggest bitcoin exchanges. Before being bit by the crypto bug in 2011 Michael was running international research infrastructure projects, latest the as CEO for the Nordic DataGrid Facility at that time the biggest distributed storage installation world wide. Michael has served as member of the research infrastructure EGI Project Management Board, the EGI Technical Collaboration Board and at present he is member of the Board of the Swedish National Supercomputer Center, NSC as well as the Blockchain and virtual currencies Working Group preparing the 5th European Anti Money Laundry Directive.
