Mark Williams

Associate Director, FasterCures, Milken Institute

Mark Williams is an Associate Director at FasterCures, a center of the Milken Institute. He manages a number of projects aimed at creating a high-functioning biomedical system, as well as having managed the Milken Institute’s participation in the U.S. government’s Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Challenge. Before joining FasterCures, Williams worked for the National Health Service on policy initiatives tackling financial crime, patient-staff violence, and security threats in healthcare facilities across the United Kingdom. Williams has also served as a first responder with the Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad, providing emergency medical services in the state of Maryland, United States. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Lincoln and a Master of Science degree in International Security and Global Governance from Birkbeck, University of London. He is currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Global Health at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
