After spending eight years working with different private and public sector organizations, Najia joined SECP nine years ago. Since then, she has worked on licensing financial intermediaries, enforcement actions, and surveillance of trading activities. Her routine job responsibilities include revamping market surveillance suite, anti-money laundering regime, regulatory framework for financial intermediaries, financial reporting mechanism for securities brokers, investors’ protection procedures, trade rectification, and negotiating a deal market mechanism. She is a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant from Pakistan’s prestigious accounting body ICMAP. As part of the Capital Markets Program,Najia undertook her internship with Vista Equity Partners in San Francisco.
