Ambassador David Pressman is a partner at Boies Schiller Flexner LLP where he represents clients navigating complex crises, international disputes, and litigation. He is also the Executive Director of the Clooney Foundation for Justice. Appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate, Pressman represented the United States on the United Nations Security Council and has served as the senior U.S. negotiator on international disputes around the world. Prior to his service as U.S. Ambassador, he served as Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security. As the Director for War Crimes and Atrocities on the National Security Council at the White House, Pressman was responsible for coordinating the U.S. Government’s efforts to prevent and respond to mass atrocities and war crimes. In private practice, Ambassador Pressman has represented clients in high-profile crises and investigations, challenged expropriations by foreign governments, and litigated high-profile civil and criminal matters. Ambassador Pressman co-founded the international advocacy organization Not On Our Watch.
