Soichiro is a Director with Monitor Deloitte's strategy consulting practice in Tokyo. He currently co-leads a team dedicated to the study of geopolitical, macroeconomic, and technology trends and draws unique insights that help governments, companies, and society navigate the complex post-COVID environment. In his previous roles, Soichiro led and delivered a wide range of projects ranging from global business strategy, external affairs strategy, operations and organizational transformation, regulatory compliance, and IT strategy. He is especially passionate about the automotive industry, which has been the focus industry for most of his career, and brings to the team a wealth of knowledge and perspectives on market structure, consumer behavior, industrial policy, and supply chains derived from his overseas projects across Southeast Asia, China, Europe, and the United States. Soichiro holds a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University.
