Waichi Sekiguchi is a senior staff writer for Nikkei. He joined Nikkei in 1982 and has been covering the IT industry and cyberspace issues for over 20 years. As a Washington correspondent during the Bush and Clinton Administrations in the early 90s, Sekiguchi covered US trade and government policies. He was a Fulbright fellow at the Center for International Affairs at Harvard University in the late 80s, and was a chief writer for the English edition of the Nikkei. Sekiguchi served as a news commentator for a NHK World TV program
