Dual crises—a global pandemic and a national reckoning with racial injustice—forced sports leaders to hit "pause" on some of America's most beloved pastimes. Months after the initial shutdown, sports leagues have resumed activities, but with greater precautions and clearer intentions than ever before. League commissioners, sports team owners, athletes, and sponsors have stepped up to lead both on and off the court, elevating the physical health and social conscience of their teams, communities, and fan-bases. Leading players and owners will discuss how this activism will continue to manifest itself going forward.
Please join Milken Institute Senior Director, Business and Program Development, Sean Sandbach, for a facilitated conversation in the chat room during the session.
