Rhoda Au

Rhoda Au is a Professor of Anatomy & Neurobiology, Neurology, and Epidemiology at Boston University Schools of Medicine and Public. She also serves as co-PI of the Framingham Heart Study Brain Aging Program and Director of Neuropsychology, where she is using technologies to develop and validate digital cognitive biomarkers. She seeks to facilitate the development of a multi-sensory brain health monitoring platform that is customizable, flexibly responsive to the rapidly changing technology landscape, technology agnostic, and scalable. Further, she has a priority objective of transitioning from reliance on active engagement technologies to low/no engagement ones. She actively supports broad data-sharing initiatives to accelerate data science/AI-driven discovery of digital biomarkers and novel disease pathways and treatment solutions. Dr. Au’s strategic research plan is to move from a primary focus on precision AD medicine to a broader emphasis on precision brain health.
