Dr. Jessica Green is CEO and co-founder of Phylagen, Inc., a data analytics company digitizing the global microbiome. Jessica previously co-founded the Biology and Built Environment Center at the University of Oregon and serves on the Science Advisory Board at the Santa Fe Institute. She is an internationally recognized scientist whose work has been featured in both mainstream media -- TIME, ABC, NBC, NPR, Forbes, and The Economist - and respected scientific journals including Nature, Science, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. She is the recipient of numerous awards including a Blaise Pascal International Research Chair, a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship, and a TED Senior Fellowship. Jessica received a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. While an Assistant Professor of Biology at the University of Oregon, she also skated for the Flat Track Furies in the Emerald City Roller Girls league.
