Anindya Bakrie is an Indonesian business figure, Telco-Media-Technology (TMT) investor, and philanthropist. Mr. Bakrie earned his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Known as the scion of the 77-year-old Bakrie Group, Mr. Bakrie's wide spectrum of business interests includes the publicly-listed companies he controls; basic industries, infrastructure, mining & minerals, oil & gas, property, plantations to TMT with a combined market capitalization that had topped over US$ 15 billion. Mr. Bakrie founded VIVA Group (who owns #1 News and Sports tvOne, #1 Entertainment ANTV, and Indonesian online top portal VIVA.co.id), and Bakrie Center Foundation (which produces top Indonesian leading progressive scholars and passionate leaders through education cooperation with top universities and leading research centers). Mr. Bakrie now serves as Vice President in Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is the presidentially-appointed Chairman for APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) Indonesia, which was established by APEC in 1995 as the vehicle for formalizing private sector participation in APEC.
