Christian is an entrepreneur and investor and the founder of Apeiron Investment Group, his family office and merchant banking business. Apeiron focuses on Financial Services (especially fintech and crypto), Technology, Life Sciences, Media & Entertainment and Real Estate. In 2000, Christian co-founded Ribopharma (RNAi technology) which merged with US peer Alnylam in 2003 and subsequently went public, with a market cap of 10bn USD today. Since then, Christian has created, co-founded and invested in numerous successful companies, has raised approx. 2bn USD for his portfolio companies and has been involved in more than 40 IPO- and M&A-transactions. With his biotech company ATAI, Christian’s focus is on developing solutions for the more than 300 million people who suffer from depression, especially by bringing back formerly vilified drugs like psychedelics into the legal realm. He is a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum, a member of the Presidential Advisory Council of His Excellency President Kagame of Rwanda and a member of the Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle. Christian’s annual “Angermayer Policy and Innovation Forum” convenes Head of States, leading politicians, investors and scientists to discuss crucial topics and issues.
