Cecilia Conrad is a Managing Director at the John D and Catherine T MacArthur Foundation and CEO of Lever for Change, a new nonprofit affiliate of MacArthur. At MacArthur, her portfolio includes the MacArthur Fellows Program and 100&Change. She is a board member at Bryn Mawr College, the Poetry Foundation and the National Academy of Social Insurance. Before MacArthur, she was Vice President for Academjc Affairs and Stedman Sumner Professor of Economics at Pomona College. She earned her PhD in economics at Stanford University and her BA at Wellesley College. Her honors include Carnegie California Professor of the Year, the National Urban League's Woman of Power Award, the National Economic Association's Westerfield award and honorary degrees from UMass Dartmouth and Claremont Graduate University.
