As MSCI's Chairman and CEO, Henry Fernandez has led the firm for over two decades to its position today as a premier provider of indexes and portfolio construction and risk management tools for global investors. Headquartered in New York, with 32 offices in 21 countries, MSCI is a central connecting point for the global investment industry. MSCI's clients are the world's largest investors, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers, mutual funds, ETF providers, hedge funds, and banks. Mr. Fernandez serves on the boards of directors/trustees at Stanford University, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the Foreign Policy Association, and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York. Mr. Fernandez has a BA in economics from Georgetown University, an MBA from Stanford University, and pursued doctoral studies in economics at Princeton University. Born in Mexico and raised in Nicaragua, he now lives in New York City with his wife and three children.
