Sharon is the Head of Regional Payments, Southeast Asia at Xfers, a digital payments infrastructure for local payment methods in Southeast Asia. The firm is most recently part of FAZZ Financial Group. Her role at Xfers involves managing cross-functional teams to launch product lines and grow the firm’s market share in the region. Sharon is also a founding member of StraitsX, the firm’s sub-division as the payments infrastructure for digital assets space in Southeast Asia, as well as XSGD, the Singapore Dollar-backed stablecoin. In addition to her role at Xfers, Sharon is an avid supporter of the FinTech industry through her angel investments in Digital Assets and Fintech sectors, and Southeast Asia focused venture funds. Sharon is also a member of the Singapore Fintech Association’s (SFA) Payments Group Sub-Committee, a group formed by SFA to work with the Monetary Authority of Singapore to facilitate payments initiatives in Singapore and strengthen the Singapore payments ecosystem. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science (Economics) - Magna Cum Laude from Singapore Management University.
