Xiaoqing (Clare) Bai

Clare Bai joined CIC since 2007, she is head of PE Department and leads the global PE investment Mandate. Clare served as Managing Director in PR and Special Investments Department from 2007-2010. Prior to CIC, Clare Bai worked for the Ministry of Finance for over 12 years and served as Deputy Director of the International Division, Director of the General Office. During her service at the Ministry of Finance, Clare Bai gained considerable experience in international finance, fiscal and taxation policies, and participated in the design of several fiscal and taxation reforms. Clare Bai holds a doctor’s degree in economics from Chinese Academy of Fiscal Sciences and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Nankai University. She is a certified professional simultaneous interpreter after receiving 2 years of training at the United Nations Interpretation Program at Beijing Foreign Studies University.
