Martin Dewhurst

Martin is a Senior Partner in McKinsey's London office and has extensive global experience across US, Europe, Africa and Asia. Co-founder and leader of McKinsey Health Institute – a global, non-profit generating institute with the aspiration to work together with partners to address some of the world’s most important and challenging healthcare problems. Martin previously led our Global Life Sciences Practice for 7 years (2014-2021) – across pharma, biotech, generics, med-tech/devices, consumer health. Prior to that, he led the Organization Practice in EMEA spanning leadership development, human capital, transformational change, organization design, board services and post-merger integration. He has spoken and written extensively on health and globalisation. MHI has published on a modernised definition of health. He co-led on a McKinsey global initiative ‘Prioritising Health’. Conferences including; Financial Times, CII (India), Bio century China, The Economist, St Petersburg Economic Forum, among others.Martin joined McKinsey from INSEAD where he earned an MBA in general management. Beyond McKinsey, Martin serves as Trustee to Asia House (UK’s centre of expertise on Asia).
