Milken Institute establishes inaugural advisory board for its Center for Strategic Philanthropy

 

Washington, D.C. – August 18, 2020 – The Milken Institute Center for Strategic Philanthropy (CSP) is proud to welcome its first ever advisory board, a group of 11 philanthropic leaders who will help advise CSP’s ongoing efforts to shape the future of philanthropic giving to make the field more strategic and impactful.

The board will provide guidance and perspectives across a range of areas, offer insights on industry trends, network and portfolio expansion, and lend overall leadership to the social impact sector in the U.S. and around the world.

The Board has been intentionally recruited to reflect a diverse, inclusive representation of the range of stakeholders, issues, and geographies where CSP works. The board comprises high-profile strategic philanthropists, domain experts, and global influencers, including:

  • Cindy Citrone, Founder and CEO of the Citrone 33 Foundation and EMBRACE Pittsburgh

  • Marisa Drew, Chief Sustainability Officer & Global Head Sustainability Strategy, Advisory and Finance, Credit Suisse

  • Simone Friedman, Head of Philanthropy & Impact Investment, EJF Philanthropies
