Storytelling through film and television has the power to move people from awareness to action and help build or strengthen broad social change movements. Over the last decade, a burgeoning cohort of influencers and change agents have been intentionally using multiple forms of media, through varied platforms, to raise awareness on critical issues and inspire transformative behavioral change. Given the complex multi-sector environment and rapidly changing landscape (e.g., subscription services, distribution platforms, creative approaches, and financing mechanisms), the time is ripe to demystify the process and marshal a new age of impact storytelling.
