Investing in American Infrastructure: The Case for Private Capital

Over the next 10 years, experts predict that United States infrastructure will face a funding gap of nearly $3 trillion. The time is now for increased investment to rebuild aging bridges and tunnels and to fund new projects, from renewable energy to smart cities technology. Communities, developers, and government leaders alike are searching for methods to increase private investment while making public sector funding more effective. As lawmakers draft bills, investors are also looking for ways to connect bankable projects with capital. Can the government come together for a bipartisan solution? Is the risk level of P3 projects attractive to investors? What are the implications for economic growth in the country if the funding gaps persist?
