The Asian Phenotype: An Unmet Medical Need?
For the last century, medical research has been key to the improvement in the health and longevity of the world's population. Only recently has increasing attention been paid to the differences between the Caucasians, the main subjects of the majority of medical research, and Asians. This panel brings to light the diseases where research into the Asian phenotype is lacking and discusses the need for deeper collaboration in our fight to advance healthcare.
