In a TRAIN workshop held on May 9, 2022, in coordination with the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), FasterCures examined approaches to accelerate translational research, the expertise needed to move good ideas toward proof of concept and into the clinic, and how foundations can strategically engage in this process.

In this session, we:

•    Review unmet needs and roadblocks in the translational process that foundations could address
•    Address how to diversify opportunities to contribute to advancing the research 
•    Offer a range of examples of how foundations can contribute to research efforts 
•    Highlight the importance of understanding the commercial landscape and motivations of different organizations
