Grace Kibuthu Ogola is an Operations Officer in IFC’s Financial Institutions Group based in Nairobi, Kenya. Grace has been coordinating capital market development initiatives as Project Leader for the Africa Capital Market Development Program and the Rwanda Capital Market Development Project. Grace also led the Efficient Securities Markets Institutional Development (ESMID) program, which provided extensive advisory and transaction support between 2007 and 2017 for bond market development and integration of capital markets in East Africa and Nigeria. As co-Task Team Leader, Grace jointly led three World Bank advisory initiatives: Capital Market Transaction Support to Kenyan Sub-nationals, National Sovereign Wealth Fund Project, and County Creditworthiness Initiative. Prior to joining IFC in 2006, Grace worked in international development consulting, focusing on regional trade integration and trade capacity building at Associates for International Resources and Development in the USA and in corporate legal affairs with the Cooperative Bank of Kenya. Grace is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy, and a Certificate in International Development from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, as well as a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Nairobi.
