Anita Nosratieh is an Associate Director at FasterCures. Her experience spans preclinical research, clinical trials and regulatory affairs. Prior to FasterCures, she was a Managing Consultant at Navigant Inc. in their Life Science practice advising manufacturers on regulatory requirements throughout the product life-cycle.
She served as a Senior Advisor for Innovation at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), where she engaged with medical device developers, private and public health insurance representatives, and federal and state agencies to create programs and policies that accelerate patient access to safe, effective and innovative medical devices. Specifically, she worked with medical device companies and payers to shorten the time from FDA approval or clearance and coverage under the Payer Communication Task Force.
To support the development of novel devices, she created partnerships with innovation incubators and accelerators, providing outreach and education on regulatory requirements. She began her FDA career as a lead reviewer of breast cancer screening and diagnostic devices. She holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from University of California, Davis. Her doctoral training was in medical physics with a specialization in breast imaging and radiation dose to the breast.
