Dr Li is a specialist in Family Medicine in private practice in Hong Kong. He is the president of the World Organization of Family Doctors, the censor of the Hong Kong College of Family Physicians, and the chairman of the Governing Board of Hong Kong Jockey Club Disaster Preparedness and Response Institute. Li also serves as the member of the Steering Committee on Primary Healthcare Development of Hong Kong Food & Health Bureau, the member of the Chief Executive's Council of Advisers on Innovation and Strategic Development, as well as the chairman of the Professional Committee on Medical Health of Belt and Road General Chamber of Commerce.
