Mr. McClelland is the Director of Credit Strategies at the Virginia Retirement System (VRS). In his capacity as Director he leads a team of 5 individuals who are responsible for managing the Alternative Credit and the Private Investment Partnership Programs. Together, these two programs represent 15% of the $85 billion VRS investment portfolio. Previously, Mr. McClelland managed several investment grade fixed income investment portfolios for the VRS. Prior to joining the VRS Mr. McClelland was a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Mentor Investment Group. He began his career as a Public Accountant. Mr. McClelland received a BBA degree in Accounting from Iowa State University and a MBA degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
