Anla Cheng is Founder and CEO of SupChina, an independent China business, digital news and events platform which informs an English audience of 4mm English. Prior to this, Ms. Cheng ran a Family Office of Asian Hedge Fund of Funds, Centenium Capital. Previously, she worked at Robert Fleming as SVP of Asia Institutional Group. She started at Goldman Sachs, moved to Citi as a Pacific Basin analyst where she was an Asian Portfolio Manager. Ms. Cheng received her MBA from Wharton Graduate School of Business and graduated magna cum laude from Pratt Institute. She is a Trustee of the following Boards: Vice Chair at TNC China/Aisa/NY(The Nature Conservancy); Facing History and Ourselves (past Chair of China Project); Vice Chair at China Institute; past Trustee and now member of Committee 100. Ms. Cheng is China Global Council Member of Brookings and Columbia University, and a Member of NCUSCR. Her past Board affiliations include Trustee: The Riverdale Country School; The NY Community Trust; The Browning School. She has received the Legacy Award, 2009 from MOCA. She has spoken frequently at Columbia University, NYU, The Economist, Evercore/ISI, and the Chemical Institute Association.
