Marlène Ngoyi is the visionary CEO of the Fund for Export Development in Africa (FEDA), a $1 billion investment platform and a subsidiary of Afreximbank, a leading African development finance institution with a balance sheet exceeding $40 billion. FEDA provides equity, quasi-equity, and debt capital to drive industrialization, intra-African trade, and value-added exports across sectors such as manufacturing, technology, healthcare, energy, financial services, agribusiness, and the creative industries.Under Ms. Ngoyi’s leadership, FEDA has become a leading platform for institutional investors seeking growth opportunities in Africa’s high-potential sectors. With innovative investment strategies, risk mitigation tools, and sustainable exit frameworks, FEDA aligns capital deployment with transformative growth, ensuring robust financial returns alongside ESG and impact-driven outcomes. Before joining FEDA, Ms. Ngoyi held prominent leadership roles in financial institutions across Africa. She served as CEO of BGFI Investment Banking, where she led the company in raising more than $3 billion in capital and foreign direct investment for private and sovereign clients. She was also the CEO of BGFI Bank DRC between 2018 and 2021, where she led the restoration of the bank’s financial profitability and its process for securing AML 30000 certification to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism. Prior to these roles, she held senior investment roles at private equity and social impact firms.
