All pandemics emerge from a complex but entirely predictable set of natural and human factors. However, the global public health community has to date not been able to effectively leverage advances in data science to properly model these factors and find signals that enable high-impact rapid responses to save lives. The Rockefeller Foundation PPI addresses these large and important gaps in public health early warning with a new global data science capability to predict and prevent pandemics.
