Tom Bené is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sysco Corporation, the world's largest global food service distributor. He joined Sysco in 2013 and held several executive management positions before being promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer in January of 2018. Later that year, he added the role of Chairman of Sysco's Board of Directors. Before joining Sysco, Bené spent 23 years in roles of increasing responsibility at PepsiCo, where his last position was President of the North American foodservice business. Bené holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas and currently serves as a member of their Business School Advisory Board. Bené is involved in a variety of industry, community and philanthropic organizations. He is currently a member of The Business Council and sits on the Board of Directors of the Greater Houston Partnership, and just recently completed a 5-year term as a member of the Board of Directors for the Women's Foodservice Forum. He is also actively involved with the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the United Way of Greater Houston.
