Rafik Nayed is the Chief Executive Officer of Al Salam Bank in Bahrain. Most recently Rafik was Deutsche Bank's Vice Chairman for the Middle East and North Africa and the CEO of the UAE. Prior to that he served as Chief Executive Officer of the Libyan Investment Authority and Chairman of the Tamoil Group. Rafik's 25-year career spans several financial disciplines including asset management, investment banking, private equity, and corporate finance across various geographies and sectors with focus on energy and infrastructure. Rafik was educated in Canada, Switzerland and the UK. He holds an MBA from the London Business School and an MA in Finance from Webster University.
