Daphne Kis is the CEO of WorldQuant University (WQU), a not-for-profit whose mission is to make advanced, quality education accessible to capable students everywhere by leveraging technology at scale to deliver free online programs. WQU offers two programs in the data sciences – an instructor-guided Master’s degree program in Financial Engineering and an intensive, two-unit, 16-week module in Applied Data Science. Helping bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, WQU currently serves nearly 4,000 student in over 90 countries. As a passionate entrepreneur, she has been at the forefront of identifying, chronicling, and transforming trends in technology, health, education, and business for decades. Passionate about global entrepreneurship opportunities, especially for women, Kis serves on the board of Springboard Enterprise’s Tech Council and of SheEO, a radically redesigned ecosystem that supports, finances, and celebrates female innovators. She is also a board director on the national board of Young Audiences Arts for Learning, a 30+ chapter affiliate network helping over five million children around the country apply the arts to advance learning skills.
