John F. Diener is currently the Chief Operating Officer of AgriProtein Technologies, a leading insect protein company focused on upcycling food waste into high quality protein and oil for use in aquaculture, pet and livestock feed applications. As COO, John manages R&D, Technology and Engineering Development, Operations and Sales and Marketing. John is a thought leader and investor in AgriFood Tech. In addition to investing in AgriFood Tech, John is on the Advisory Board of two AgriFood Tech startups and a mentor to several others. John also advises companies and government on AgriFood Tech strategy. Prior to joining AgriProtein, John was the CEO of an aquaculture nutrition and genetics company in Asia. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago and an MSc in Sustainable Aquaculture from the University of St Andrews.
