Isabella Cueto is a Los Angeles-based chronic disease reporter for STAT. As part of her work, she writes about scientific and medical approaches to understanding, diagnosing and treating chronic conditions, as well as the deeply personal experience of people living with disabling diseases — whether they be common or rare. Cueto is part of a team of STAT reporters who cover chronic conditions, including heart disease, obesity, addiction, and cancer, and explore the forces that contribute to these all-too-common and deadly diseases.
