Rebecca Robbins is STAT's San Francisco Correspondent. She is a reporter covering the life sciences industry, focusing on the region stretching from Silicon Valley up to San Francisco's Mission Bay biotech hotbed. She also co-hosts STAT's biotech podcast The Readout LOUD and anchors STAT's weekly West Coast newsletter Go West. She previously reported as an intern for the Washington Post, the Hartford Courant, and the Santa Barbara Independent. Rebecca earned a history degree at Harvard University, where she spent a year as managing editor of the Harvard Crimson.
