Jane Wells develops features, special reports and contributes to breaking news coverage for CNBC as a Special Correspondent. Jane has been with CNBC for more than 20 years. She is also part of the inaugural class of writers for Facebook’s Bulletin platform, where she writes “Wells Street,” covering business news “with an arched eyebrow.” Jane has received numerous honors for her work, including a 1992 Peabody Award and duPont Award for her role in the live coverage of the Rodney King Trial. She holds bachelor’s degrees in broadcast journalism and philosophy from the University of Southern California, where she graduated with honors. She and her husband live in Thousand Oaks.
