Shivani Siroya is founder and CEO of InVenture, a mobile technology and data science company. InVenture aims to close the credit gap in emerging markets by using mobile data to overcome traditional barriers to financial access. InVenture collects thousands of data points per customer to build a real-time credit score, determine loan terms and disburse instant credit. The company has disbursed millions of dollars in capital and is rapidly expanding in Africa and Asia. Fast Company named InVenture the most innovative company in money in 2015 and the eighth-most innovative in finance in 2016. Prior to InVenture, Siroya worked in mergers and acquisitions at Health Net and Citigroup and equity research at UBS. She also worked at the United Nations Population Fund, helping to develop cost models in Africa and Asia. Siroya is a 2016 World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, 2015 senior TED fellow and 2013 Ashoka fellow. She is on the board of Stellar.org. Siroya holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University and an M.P.H. from Columbia University.
