Securing the Future: Building Global Resilience Beyond Borders (Invite only)

-

The growing threat of future pandemics has made it more critical than ever to strengthen our ability to predict and detect health threats while building resilient health systems globally. One recent analysis project a 27.5 percent chance of another deadly pandemic in the next decade, with factors such as climate change, increased international travel, and urbanization contributing to the risk. This session will focus on how best to bolster early warning surveillance strategies to detect and respond to the next outbreak as swiftly as possible. Using Kenya as a case study, the panel will examine the funding challenges facing pandemic preparedness and explore innovative financing strategies that have implications beyond boundaries.
