Magnolia Ballroom

The post-recession recovery has not lifted all boats across the golden state’s economic landscape. In sharp contrast to the promises of the California Dream, in 2017, according to US Census and Bureau of Labor Statistics measures, California has the unwelcome distinction of having the nation’s highest poverty rate. Now is the time to scale collaboration across the state and reflect on the type of economy we hope to build for our shared future prosperity. How do we create an economy that supports broader economic opportunities for people throughout California? This session will ask leaders to pose solutions to the persistent social issues of today. How can leaders work together to increase access to housing, healthcare, education and jobs for residents across the state?
