In health, education, environment, and with any number of existing systems, philanthropy can serve as a nimble solution to address the intersectionality and interconnectedness of the complex, layered issues involved—and those marginalized groups most affected. Just as we can no longer focus on the climate crisis without considering the ways in which indigenous and communities of color are disproportionally burdened, we can sharpen our funding strategies to most effectively cut across different verticals to bridge existing divides with a goal of becoming a more inclusive society, bettering the lives and livelihoods of all.
