Sandra Namboozo

CEO, Karpolax; Milken-Motsepe Prize Winner

Sandra Namboozo is a chemical engineer and MIT Solve[ED] fellow with a wealth of experience in chemical processes and bio-synthesis. As the CEO of Karpolax Company Limited, she is leading the development of sustainable preservation solutions for fruit and vegetable farmers, exporters, and retailers. With her deep understanding of chemical engineering, Sandra has contributed significantly to the development of Karpolax's innovative preservation products, helping to reduce food waste and improve food security in Uganda and beyond. Prior to her work with Karpolax, Sandra served as a process engineer for the Uganda National Oil Company. During her tenure, she optimized chemical processes and helped to increase efficiency, making a positive impact on the company's bottom line. Sandra holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Makerere University. Her expertise in chemical processes and bio-synthesis has enabled her to make significant contributions to the field. Through her work at Karpolax, Sandra is committed to developing sustainable solutions for food preservation, and to inspiring the next generation to prioritize sustainability in their work.
