Since 2015 Eduardo is the CEO of ALOM INFRA, a vehicle that has invested over $1.2 billion dollars in 14 projects, covering energy, transport (toll roads), and telecommunications sectors. ALOM INFRA has been among the highest ranking fund according to Principles for Responsible Investment (UN-PRI), and is in the process of launching additional platforms focused on infra and energy.
As CEO of ALOM INFRA, Eduardo leads the platform that consolidates the operations of CKD IM and FIBRAeMX, together with the group's future strategic initiatives. In 2023, FIBRAeMX completed its initial public offering on BIVA for MXN $6,639 million, acquiring stakes in the OVT platform of four federal and state highways and the Maroma portfolio of three highway projects. Since then, the FIBRA has continued to grow through two successful follow-on offerings, in 2024 for MXN $3,902 million and in 2026 for MXN $10,276 million, which included international investors. It has also expanded its portfolio with stakes in GANA, CIBSA and META, and in 2026 secured a syndicated credit of up to MXN $4,600 million. Today, FIBRAeMX holds 10 assets spanning more than 1,400 km across 14 states in Mexico.
Eduardo has over 30 years of experience in the execution of investment banking transactions, financing of infrastructure projects in Mexico, Europe and the United States. Throughout his career, he has led the structuring of several transactions in the public markets, among which stand out, the largest photo-voltaic solar plant in Peru in the amount of US $ 170 million and the securitization of the Monterrey-Cadereyta highway for US $ 200 million. Both transactions were recognized by the magazine Project Finance International Magazine as "Latin American Renewables Deal of the Year 2011" and "Infrastructure Deal of the Year 2004" respectively.
During 2005 to 2009 Eduardo served as CEO of Financial Security Assurance Mexico, and Head of Latin America. From 2009 to 2012 he was Director of Finance & Utilities Project for Latin America of Assured Guaranty Corp. based in New York City. During this period, he was involved in the financing of infrastructure projects, such as: Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, the midtown tunnel Miami in Florida, the desalination plant in Carlsbad California, as well as the transport interchange Plaza de Castilla in Madrid.
From 1991 to 2005, Eduardo worked at Banorte where he held various positions in the area of Corporate Finance and Investment Banking, at the end of his tenure he was Managing Director of Investment Banking.
Eduardo received his BA in Administration and a Master Degree in International Business from ITAM, throughout his career he has taught finance courses both at ITAM and IPADE.
