John Giordano

John Giordano was confirmed by the United States Senate as U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Namibia on October 7, 2025, and presented his credentials to President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on October 29, 2025.

Ambassador Giordano is a highly accomplished attorney, capital strategist, and former federal prosecutor whose career spans senior government service and private capital leadership. Most recently, he served as Interim United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey, sworn in on March 3, 2025, where he led one of the nation’s most consequential federal districts. In that role, he directed all federal criminal prosecutions and civil litigation involving U.S. interests, aggressively targeting violent gangs, human-trafficking networks, illegal immigration operations, and cartel-driven narcotics trafficking.

Ambassador Giordano brings a rare combination of prosecutorial authority, financial command, and strategic capital leadership across select growth-stage enterprises. His work ranges from energy-driven economic development to international wildlife-trafficking enforcement. In parallel, he has built a distinguished record of deploying private capital across high-growth consumer brands, advanced technology companies, and digital-asset platforms, focusing on enterprise-level scalability and long-term value creation.

A recognized authority on federal law and regulatory strategy, Ambassador Giordano has lectured at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Earth and Environmental Science, bridging legal policy, economics, and sustainability.

A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Villanova University, he earned his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law and clerked for United States District Judge Joseph E. Irenas before joining the international law firm DLA Piper.
