Anindya Novyan Bakrie

Chairman, Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Indonesia); CEO Bakrie & Brothers

Anindya Novyan Bakrie is an Indonesian business magnate, global investor, and prominent philanthropist. As CEO of Bakrie & Brothers (BNBR), a publicly listed conglomerate, he leads diverse investments across infrastructure, electric vehicles, mining, oil & gas, power (including renewables and solar), property, and plantations. He is also the successor to the 83-year-old Bakrie Group, one of Indonesia’s largest and most enduring business groups, with 12 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. He plays a key role in representing Indonesia and the broader Indo-Pacific business community in global fora. He is actively pivoting the Group toward sustainable and digital innovation—prioritizing sectors such as EVs, batteries, solar energy, fintech, prefab housing, and emerging technologies. Elected Chairman of the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia) in 2024, he leads the national business federation representing 35 provincial chapters and over 100,000 businesses. He also serves as Chairman of both the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Indonesia and the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) Indonesia. Under his leadership, ABAC Indonesia launched the first Indonesia Impact Fund. Internationally, he contributes to the B20 South Africa International Business Advocacy Caucus (IBAC), strengthening South-South cooperation and trade between emerging markets. He earned his Industrial Engineering degree from Northwestern University (1996) and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business (2001).
