In the United States, a mere 21.6 percent of children and adolescents (ages 6 to 19) get the recommended amount of physical activity each day. This is an alarmingly low rate, given that regular physical activity has been shown to help children grow into healthy adults. This panel explores the ways physical activity can become an intrinsic part of childhood.
