Michael is an Executive Director in Debt Capital Markets at Standard Chartered Bank, London. He has origination responsibilities for Asset- Backed Securities and Covered Bonds in Europe and the Americas, leading the business’ expansion outside of Standard Chartered’s long-established ABS franchise in the East. Michael previously managed the bank’s Asset- Backed treasury portfolio, investing in senior securities across a broad range of asset classes and jurisdictions. Prior to this Michael was a senior credit analyst in the bank’s Structured Credit Investments unit, focussed on ABS and structured credit. He has extensive experience in credit, working as a corporate credit analyst when joining the bank, and prior to that Michael worked in equities at UBS and Investec. He graduated with a BSc in Economics from the University of Bristol and is a CFA Charterholder.
