Enough Is Enough: Gun Violence Prevention in America

Gun violence has inexorably become a focal point of American culture. As with cancer, rising numbers of Americans are directly affected by gun violence personally, within their communities, or within their families. The need to address the firearms epidemic has only become more pressing as gun-related injuries and deaths continue to rise. Small, incremental wins, like the bipartisan Safer Communities Act, give some hope that the needle may be moving in the right direction, but broad cultural and policy changes are needed for meaningful impact.
